Let’s work on Acceptance today…❤️

Let’s work on Acceptance today…❤️

Merry Christmas to you and your family if you are celebrating ?

And wishing you lots of love and peace today and every day regardless of your religious background and traditions.

We are ? missing our family this year, but are making the most of it and still creating memories with our core unit 🙂 This is from golfing earlier this week and I love how festive everyone is ❤️

But along with many of you, this year has been about managing expectations. Whether you’re letting go of traditions or making new ones, this does take some adjusting.

Let’s talk about the dysfunctional ones for a minute… many of us have high expectations of ourselves and others this time of year – it’s the year we’re going to show-up fully, love everyone no matter what comments Uncle Bob brings to the dinner table, and have a beautiful holiday! Am I right?? ??‍♀️

BUT we often set ourselves up for failure.

Per Eckhart Tolle’s book, “A New Earth”, he talks about the pain body coming out in full force at family gatherings. The pain body is exactly as it sounds, a layer of pain filled with past hurts and resentments. Unfortunately a lot of this gets triggered around family because they’ve been in our lives for so long that there is often unresolved conflict.

So pretending that everything will be hunky dory isn’t really serving us.

So what can we do instead? Just notice it. Come into the situation – whether you’re in-person or online this year – knowing who you really are… a brilliant bright light ? filled with love and acceptance for ALL.

From there, just notice your triggers. In that very moment realize what is coming up for YOU. You can’t control others, but you absolutely can control your own reactions and perception ?

When we’re upset with others, it’s usually about us projecting out our own unfounded guilt anyway.

So how can you enter in this holiday season with love and compassion for yourself? Those external resentments will start to fade away when you realize you have nothing to prove.

Our latest podcast episode, “Toes on the Knows”, will help you do just that this holiday season and moving forward. When you are standing with your toes on the threshold of the ego’s slippery slope, what will you decide?

Wishing you so much love, peace & joy,

Chris, xo

Learn why you really can’t say no ??‍♀️

Learn why you really can’t say no ??‍♀️

Saying no is probably one of the biggest things people struggle with. It impacts how you live your life AND how you run your business.

Most of us have an issue with it because we don’t want to disappoint others, which really translates into not wanting to be a bad person.

Most of us have been taught to put our self-worth on how others view us instead of strengthening a strong sense of self instead.

This translates into people pleasing and not taking a stand for our own needs.

It doesn’t mean we can’t or shouldn’t help other people, but not at the cost of our own spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health.

I am a firm believer in filling up our own cups first. I’m convinced it’s as important as breathing. Meaning we take care of ourselves – we put our own needs and wants first. Because if we don’t, not only will we not be living a healthy and thriving life, we won’t be able to help other people anyway. Either physically because of our health or emotionally because we’re so drained.

And in business how does it show-up? Oh it’s a doozy.

Taking on projects or work we don’t really want to be doing.

OR better yet “ghosting” people because we’re too afraid to say no.

Where that beauty shows-up is in your OWN sales calls. You’re afraid to say no in your own life and business because of how it feels, and you therefore avoid a situation where someone else can say no to you.

Translation – business growth stalls.

You are in sales if you’re in business for yourself and therefore must work through this. See my blog post from a few weeks ago on “Sales isn’t something you do to someone, it’s…”

So we want to start looking at how we’re making decisions around our time. Sure compromise is needed sometimes, and also making an extra effort, but if you are over-scheduled and this has become a pattern then something else is going on.

It’s especially prevalent over the holidays.

So tune into what you really need as we’re bombarded with extra to do’s, and if you really want to go deeper in terms of addressing the guilt behind the decisions we’re making around our time, then tune into our latest podcast that dropped this morning – where we address this and give you permission to let. it. go.

Namaste.

I will be sharing more strategies on reducing overwhelm that you can use during the holidays – and beyond – during a live today on Instagram and my Facebook business page at 12 pm pacific.

Hope to see you there and have a beautiful weekend!

The Greatest Secret ?

The Greatest Secret ?

I was so excited to learn that Rhonda Byrne has a new book out, “The Greatest Secret” and even more excited to hear that she has been on a journey of seeking a deeper truth since putting out her movie and book, “The Secret”. I too have been on the same journey, and it’s what led me to studying A Course in Miracles. In case you don’t know my background, I was led to the movie The Secret after asking some really deep questions when I lost my Dad unexpectedly. I knew I wanted to make a career change before having my first baby, and then my Dad passed away two months after Jude was born.

I started asking some more serious questions that related to more than just finding my passion. Little did I know that being led to this movie and its principals would become my passion! I was asking questions like; “why are we even here”, “what is the meaning of life”, and “what is this life all about” – and not from a positive find-your-purpose type of way. I was angry and upset after my Dad dying, and was essentially asking what the meaning of life was.

Here is a photo of Dr. Demartini from the Secret and I, speaking at an event ?

This has become my purpose and passion, to truly step into a place of freedom where we can be, do and have anything in life, and to help others do the same and what gets in the way of us doing it!! This searching essentially led me to A Course in Miracles, which is all about having a shift in perspective so that we can receive the love that is there for us and create the most amazing miraculous life! We all deserve to have joy and freedom.

Funny enough in our latest podcast episode that just “dropped” this morning, we use an interview with Rhonda as a catalyst to a deeper discussion around whether or not we actually need to suffer in order to have a breakthrough! Do we need a death, accident, divorce, near death experience as a wake-up call? ??‍♀️

And what’s funny is that after we recorded our episode, I started her new book only to discover what she has learned is exactly what the Course teaches. I love when things come full circle!

And how does this apply to business??!! EVERYTHING!! It’s these heavier thoughts of suffering that keep us from seeing the light… the next steps in creating our dreams and hearts desires. It’s the stories of the ego that we have all bought into that keep us playing small.

I hope you will tune in, and at the very least, look at the results you’re currently getting in your life (biz and relationships), and ask yourself what is the thinking / story keeping you there? This is the shift. This is the miracle.

Have an amazing weekend!

Sales isn’t something you do TO someone, it’s…??‍♀️

Sales isn’t something you do TO someone, it’s…??‍♀️

… something you do FOR someone!

I shared more about this during my live yesterday – how the subconscious mind sabotages business owners through sales…

ALL business owners across the globe, at ALL levels struggle with this one common issue. Sales.

It doesn’t matter what level they are at in their business or how much success they have already achieved. It affects people when they are just starting out and those wanting to reach a new level. As I like to say, “new level, same devil”. It’s the same issue happening deep down just wearing a different disguise.

In today’s post, I share what is really going on deep down, what sales actually is, and how to shift the energy you’re putting out around it. Because people can feel it.

Sales isn’t something you do to someone, it’s something you do for someone.

Let’s say this again.

Sales isn’t something you do to someone, it’s something you do for someone.

The issue people have deep down relates to a mindset issue not a strategy issue. You can have the best sales technique or script in the world, but if deep down your mindset is off around it, you just won’t be able to bring said strategy to fruition. When I say mindset, I mean there is a belief at play you may not even be aware of, that is blocking you from standing in your greatness. The belief most people have deep down around sales that blocks them is, “I don’t want to come across as salesy”. Translation: I care what people think and I don’t want to be judged as a bad person.

I remember my sales coach having our group get so bold in our questioning that we had to get to the point where the person on the other end of the line would hang-up on us! My phone call of this nature was with a psychologist in town. I was so afraid she was going to tell everyone in town that I was a terrible person!! But I did it anyway. It was scary, but it served a greater purpose, the bigger lesson being able to push through my own discomfort and ask deeper questions when she got uncomfortable. It was about serving her in a much bigger way at the end of the day.

The idea was that we had to get past what other people thought, and be willing instead to take a bigger stand for their growth was pivotal. Tough questions need to be asked sometimes in order to help people see their own truth, and as coach that’s what I’m here to do. Not to be your best friend. Although, my best friend can vouch that I do ask her bold questions! And she to me, which I deeply appreciate 🙂 This is the same for any product or service you’re representing – that product or service is there to help people in some way shape or form, and the sales process is the first step in helping them.

The sales process – when done correctly and coming from an empowered place – is really just about being of service on the deepest level. What questions can we ask to discover what the other person’s needs and wants are, what their challenge is in attaining it, and how we can best serve them even if our product or service is not the best fit for them? If we’re truly being of service, we will only offer our product or service if we can absolutely help them. Otherwise it might be a referral to someone else or another resource. This also ensures we won’t come across as salesy, because we truly do have the person’s best interests at heart – even if it means asking tough questions to help them fully.

So how can we operate from this empowered state that is service-based? Well, we need to put our own goals and our own stuff to the side quite frankly. Of course we all have goals for our businesses and want to see growth. We could also be struggling financially and not know where the next client is going to come from BUT if we operate from this needy place, our energy will be felt by the other person. We also need to have faith in the universe (or insert own belief system here), that there is a higher power guiding us that will show us more and more people / companies, etc. to help. We just have to feel good enough to receive it (insert law of attraction principals here).

Here are some ways the disempowered version of ourselves tends to show-up in a sales conversation:

1. spending too much time on the phone

2. being afraid of silence and talking to fill the air

3. allowing the person to get too far into their story (instead of asking a question to get back on track)

4. emailing instead of having a phone call

5. second guessing your rates or offering something of lower value, when the person can truly benefit from your higher priced offering (it’s been designed for a reason!)

6. blindsiding the person you’re talking to by entering into a sales conversation because you were too afraid to set-up the call / meeting properly (the is a sure-fire way to come across as salesy!)

7. holding back on asking tough questions (likely a deep seeded need for approval and to be liked happening)

8. and I’m sure there our others that are coming to mind!

So…. do the opposite of the above! Make it a conscious practice to start catching it and making a more empowered choice even if it’s scary! You can do it ?

Have a a great weekend!
